Search Engine Submission By Example
By: John Alexander
Hi,
Last week I talked about Google Page Rank and how important it is to your
web site...
I failed to mention a couple important points.
It takes Google 4-8 weeks to rank and list a web site. You can cut this down
to 1-2 DAYS using this little tip.
Google continually spiders the sites that are already in it's database in order to keep it's
database current.
If you can find a site that's already listed at Google (and one that has a high
page rank already...say 5-7) and get that site to LINK to your site, then
in the next couple of days when Google re-spiders THAT site, it will see the
link to your site and spider your site.
This can cut the time it takes to get listed at Google down to nothing.
Plus the more high page rank sites that link to you, the higher page rank
your own site will get, thus the higher ranking you will receive on Google (thus
the more traffic your site will get).
I know I'm straying a little from our stated objective in this article for the last
few weeks...but I think it's important to talk about a few basics before we
move on so that's why I've done it...we'll be getting back to our test web site
shortly.
More to come next week...stay tuned.
