Hello,
I hope you had a great fourth of July Weekend last week. I sure did! It's been a while since I sent the last issue out, hope I'm
not too rusty! Did you miss me...come on...you can say so.... ;-)
Last week I showed you how to make money while you sleep with Viral Marketing...
This week I want to talk about using bonuses and freebies to increase your web site sales.
One of the most important parts to any sales pitch are the bonuses and freebies. Ever watch a late
night infomercial? They always load you up with bonuses.
"Buy this kitchen knife and get a second one free and we'll throw in this knife sharpener, and this cutting board,
and this bath robe and this, and this, and this"....
Most of the time the bonuses are more interesting than the actual product itself.
You should use this same strategy with your own products. The secret is finding bonuses that don't cost you a penny,
or cost you very little BUT that have a high "perceived value" to the customer.
Things like free special reports that relate to the product you're selling...free eBooks....free audio downloads or a free tape or
CD that doesn't cost you much to produce....or a free consultation with you ($250 Value).
You should always load up on as many freebies as you can. Imagine that a person is teetering on the edge...they've
almost decided to buy your products. Use your freebies to push that person over the edge. Make them think that they're
getting such a great deal that they can't afford to NOT BUY.
Another great little strategy is to create a sense of urgency....."Order by midnight tonight and you'll receive all 4 free gifts....a $147
value for free...but only if you order by midnight tonight".
Of course...that's more for when you send out a special offer to your email list....I wouldn't put a time limit
on your web site unless you truly mean to yank the free gifts after midnight :-)
Bottom line....freebies are a great way to boost your sale....think of some freebies that you could create right now and
add them to your web site sales letter.
That's all for this week. See you next Monday!
