Hello,
Last week I talked about the basics of starting an online business...
This week I want to talk about building a web site that really sells.
It doesn't really matter what you're selling, there's one thing you need to focus on in order
to make a heap of money.
What's that one thing? Well, I'm going to tell you.
It's.......your customer.
If you've been reading this ezine for a while, you know that I believe that a web site should be
nothing more than a sales letter.
How well you write that sales letter determines how much money you're going to make.
So how do you write a really really good sales letter? One that practically MAKES
a person buy your product?
Easy...when you're writing the sales copy for your web site you have to think about your customer.
Put yourself in their place. What do they want, what do they need, what are they interested in?
What would make you buy if you were them?
It's not about you, it's not about your company, it's not even really about the product. It's about
the customer. How can you help them in some way?
Keep those things firmly in your mind while writing a sales letter. A sales letter shouldn't SOUND
like a sales letter...it should sound like a conversation between you and your customer that
focuses on your customer and how you can help them.
People are only really interested in themselves. Figure out how you can somehow help them
and you'll have great success.
That's all for this week. See you next Monday!
