'Tis The Season To Make Money!
By: John Skorczewski
Hello,
I want to start off this issue with just one word.....Coffee...it's definitely a strong coffee day here in the WPW offices!
Last Week I talked to you about a business model that I use that nearly guarantees
long term business success by reinvesting a portion of your profits back into marketing towards your past customers...
This week I want to talk to you about the power of holiday sales...
'Tis the season! I don't know about you, but the December holiday season is probably one of my favorite seasons, and
not just for the regular holiday reasons (Santa, x-mas lights, friends and family celebrating together)....but because it's a great season to make money.....
Call me sentimental, but the holiday shopping season makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.
If you aren't doing anything to capitalize on the holiday season, you should be drug around to the back of the
building and severely beaten until you gain some sense.
Ok, maybe that's a little harsh....or not, the point is, even if you operate solely online, there are lot's
of things you can do to make a little extra money this holiday season.
Number One: Hold a special Holiday Sale....
You've been reading this ezine for a while now so I'm sure you've started your own email list (if not, refer
back to the comment above about the dragging and beating). How hard would it be for you to craft a quick
message to your list offering a special 10%-20% off sale for everything at your web site?
Pretty easy I'd say...
Almost too easy....let's dig a little deeper....
A holiday sale is good but this is the holiday season, it's your chance to
play off of all those wonderful x-mas emotions floating around out there.
How about a 25% sale...but the proceeds going to a charity of your choice like the salvation
army or the toys for tots program. To clarify, all your prices stay the same, but you'll donate
25% of each purchase to the charity.
Now we're getting somewhere. You can use this strategy to increase your sales, but also to get
some good PR in your local newspaper (after you send them a note about the sale, that is).
And why not contact the local chapter of the salvation army and tell them about your sale. Maybe
they can do something to help get the word out...even if they just put a flyer in their office,
that's something. Any help they can give you only helps themselves, so it's in their best interest
to help you if they can.
We're just getting started....use your imagination. There must be a million ways for you
to capitalize on the holiday season to your own advantage.
Think about it....try to come up with 3-5 holiday marketing gimmicks.
Email me your ideas...I'll send a free copy of my new book Cyber Wealth
(now available at Amazon.com) to the 3 subscribers that send me the best holiday marketing ideas.
That's all for this week. See you next Monday!
