Hi,

Last week I went ahead and submitted our test web site (LearnVegetableGardening.com) to the major search engines.

Since it takes 4-8 weeks (though often less) to get listed, there's not much to talk about this week. At this point we're pretty much just waiting for the search engines to index the site.

During this time in the submission process, I usually recommend working on your link popularity.

That is, work on getting other high quality web sites to link to yours. The more high quality sites that relate to your site that link to you, the better ranking you're going to get.

I'm going to wait a week and start working on that next week. I'll talk all about the process I go through in order to get sites to link to you.

It's a lot of work...a lot of grunt work...but it pays off in the end.
