This weeks article will teach you a simple tactic to get
a higher ranking on Google.
Google is quickly becoming one of the most used search engines
on the Internet. There's much site traffic to be gained from
them if you can grab a top ten ranking.
First off, you need to determine what keyword to get listed
under. You need a keyword (or keywords) that get searched
for often.
For this I usually fire up my copy of Submission-Spider
(http://www.Submission-Spider.com) and use the keyword analysis
tool that will show me exactly how often a keyword gets searched
for.
Now, with our keyword(s) in hand, we move on to the heart of
this weeks tip.
At the moment, Google seems to give a higher priority to
sites that:
1. Use their keywords in their site title
2. Use their keywords in their sites header tags
(you know H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 etc.)
The first is simple enough to explain, just use your keywords
in your site title.
The second one is the more important of the two.
Most people dont use header tags on their site. You may
not even know what they are. Below is an example of a header
tag.
<h5>My Keyword</h5>
Since most people don't use header tags, if you do use them and
put your keywords in them, you will have an advantage getting
your site listed at Google.
I recommend using only one or two keywords in one header tag
per page on your web site.
Once you add header tags to your site, go ahead and resubmit your
site to Google, or if you are already listed at Google, you don't
even have to resubmit your site (Google sends their GoogleBot to
your site periodically to check for changes).
That's this weeks tip. Enjoy
